Local NHS financially-driven behaviours survey

As NHS finances tighten, there is a growing risk that some local NHS decisions may reflect short-term financial goals. We are aware that some primary care organisations are planning to or have started to implement changes to prescribing practices which will impact negatively on pharmacists’ remuneration. The Department of Health has asked us to submit evidence of such short-sighted changes in Primary Care Organisation behavior in England. But we are also keen to collect this information in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland so that we can present it to the relevant bodies.

We are aware of other Primary Care Organisation behaviours, such as decommissioning pharmacy services, which are causing problems for our members and would like to gather evidence of these as well.
